Delivery
8d Press sells physical printed books and currently ships orders using the delivery options shown at checkout.
Delivery charges are displayed before you complete your purchase.
We aim to dispatch orders as promptly as reasonably possible. Unless a different timescale has been agreed with you, UK consumer rules generally require goods ordered at a distance to be delivered within 30 days. GOV.UK
Please make sure the delivery address entered at checkout is correct. If you notice an error after placing your order, please contact us as soon as possible at hello@8dpress.co.uk.
Cancelling an Online Order
If you change your mind about an online purchase, you normally have 14 days from the day after you receive your order to tell us that you wish to cancel.
You do not need to give a reason.
After notifying us that you wish to cancel, you then have a further 14 days to return the goods. GOV.UK
To cancel an order, please contact:
Email: hello@8dpress.co.uk
Telephone: [YOUR BUSINESS TELEPHONE NUMBER]
Please include your name, order number and details of the item you wish to return.
Returning a Book
Returned books should be packaged carefully and returned in good condition.
Unless the book is faulty, damaged, misdescribed or incorrectly supplied, you will normally be responsible for the cost of returning it to us.
Customers may handle an item in much the same way as they would examine it in a shop. If an item has been handled beyond what is reasonably necessary and its value has been reduced, this may affect the amount refunded where permitted by law. GOV.UK
Please contact us before returning an item so that we can provide the correct return instructions and address.
Refunds
Once we receive your returned book, we will process any refund due as promptly as possible and normally within 14 days of receiving the returned goods.
Where you have cancelled an eligible online order, we will also refund the cost of the standard delivery option you paid for. If you chose a more expensive delivery service, we are not required to refund the additional cost above the standard delivery charge. GOV.UK
Refunds will normally be made to the original payment method.
Faulty, Damaged or Incorrect Books
If your book arrives damaged, faulty, misdescribed or is not the item you ordered, please contact us as soon as possible.
Please email hello@8dpress.co.uk with your order number and, where helpful, photographs showing the problem.
We will work with you to arrange an appropriate replacement, refund or other remedy in accordance with your statutory consumer rights.
UK consumer law requires traders to provide remedies where goods are faulty, not as described or otherwise fail to meet the legal standards required of goods sold to consumers. GOV.UK
Limited-Edition Books
Some 8d Press titles are produced as limited, numbered or specially finished editions.
These books are still covered by your normal statutory rights.
Where a book is individually numbered, we cannot guarantee that a replacement copy will carry the same edition number.
Your Statutory Rights
Nothing in this Delivery & Returns Policy is intended to restrict or remove any rights you have under UK consumer law.
Terms which attempt to remove responsibility for faulty or misdescribed goods cannot lawfully override those consumer protections.
